陶行知一生以“爱满天下”的精神，爱着广大劳苦大众。他乐于奉献、真诚刚毅、求真务实、开拓求新，在精神上筑起了一座坚不可摧的人格长城。

“陶子以前无一陶子，陶子以后万亿陶子。”陶行知逝世后，海内外给予他高度评价，他的精神，他的思想，鼓舞和启发着一代代有志于教育的发展、国家的兴盛、社会的进步事业的人们。二十世纪八十年代以来，海内外对陶行知研究逐步扩展和深入，人们喜见陶行知的精神和思想不断结出硕果。“两千年前的孔仲尼，两千年后的陶行知，永远永远要受人纪念”。

Tao disseminated his love to toiling masses with the spirit of “universal love”. He was a person with the character of being devoted, sincere and resolute, realistic and pragmatic, pioneering and innovating, who built an impregnable personality of the Great Wall.

  “There was no Taocius before the Taocius, and there are trillions of Taociuses after the Taocius.”(A poem by Guo Moruo) Tao gained a high reputation all over the world after he passed away. His spirits and thoughts have encouraged and inspired those who are determined to devote themselves for the development of education, the prosperity of the nation and the progress of the society from generation to generation. The researches on Tao have been carried out on a wider and more thorough scale by scholars at home and abroad since the 1980s. To the delight of the world, more and more achievements related to Tao's spirits and thoughts have been gained. “Both Confucius and Taocius who lived two thousand years apart will be memorialized forever.”
